1Introduction

Wick History Detectives: Education Pack gives teachers a simple, ready-to-use set of resources for exploring Wick’s past using old maps, photos and the 1911 Census. It provides all materials needed for two linked classroom sessions.

Session One introduces historic maps, the Victorian school, schoolchildren, and then the 1911 Census. Session Two continues with cottage studies and family investigations using individual House Folders.
